Write a poem about making a decision, and the consequences of your decision, good or bad, in the past present or future. Describe the struggle or the ease in arriving at the decision. You could write about someone else’s decision and its impact. You might want to reflect on Robert Frost’s ‘The Road Not Taken’ and Jane Hirshfield’s ‘The Decision’, for contrasting poems tackling the theme.
